The challenge

38 Degrees are one of the UK’s biggest campaigning communities, with over 2.5 million members. They share a desire for a more progressive, fairer, better society and come together to decide which issues they campaign on and the actions they take to help us achieve change in our society.

Anyone can be a 38 Degrees member. They are united by a set of shared values; to defend fairness, protect rights, promote peace, preserve the planet and deepen democracy. 38 Degrees puts power into people’s hands. They are helping to strengthen democracy by giving 38 Degrees members a new way to be involved in politics. They want to be more than just voters and ensure our society’s voices are heard all of the time, not just once every five years.

We were asked to help the team with a non-profit project to campaign against reform to the National Health Service in the U.K.

The solution

We designed and printing hand-out flyers for distribution in the Calderdale region. The flyers were designed using the bright bold orange associated with 38 degrees and were effective in attracting the attention of the public. The flyers helped to promote a discourse and opposition to sweeping reforms in our health service that threatened the NHS we all know and love.

The details

  • Discussion of aims of the campaign and key issues with client
  • Draft designs for flyer campaign based on target demographic
  • Discussion with client, design approved
  • Finalise design for print and distribution
