The challenge
A Yorkshire-based pet shop chain approached us about designing a new website to bring the brand up to date. The website would need to have a modern, responsive design which would be fully functional across all devices. It would also need to support user interaction to manage stock information and customer queries on specific products. With a wide range of products including pet food to buy online, we implemented a shipping classes system that automatically calculates shipping costs based on weight and location.
The solution
With a vast range of products, we helped Paw Prints Pet Stores create a brand new eCommerce website, with advanced shopping cart and mobile friendly design. We added over 1000 products to the online shop, setting up weights, dimensions and shipping classes. We implemented a multi store finder system so that potential customers can find their nearest pet store and get directions using Google maps. We also launched the new website with some starter Search Engine Optimisation, by optimising all product page META data, titles and descriptions alongside Schema markup relating to the products to enable Google rich snippets in search results. The new website has had a big impact on the business with the warehouse and online sales now competing with in-store sales, thanks to a great business and our feature packed website design.
